Cactus Yards is a large sports complex that host tournament, corporate parties, picnics and league play.  The facility has both baseball fields, softball fields, and a large indoor soccer facility.  In addition to the fields, there are concessions stands, open grass, and plenty of parking.

The baseball fields are regulation size with full foul territory. The softball fields are also regulation size but have a shortened distance to the fence. The facility is open year round and provides lights for evening play. During the spring and summer, Cactus Yards host many corporate parties and tournaments. What makes the sports complex unique is the fields are designed after real big league fields.  The complex has 8 baseball/softball fields.  Some of the fields are replicas of the following major league fields below:

Angel Stadium

Fenway Park

Polo Grounds

Sportmans Park

Ebbets Field

These fields make for a such a fun league or tournament setting.

There is also a batting cage and a sports grill onsite so if you forget to bring food it will be easy to order.  The batting cages have affordable rates that allow you to work on your swing in between games.

In addition the the 8 baseball fields there is a large 20,000 square foot air conditioned soccer field.  The indoor facility is a great alternative to the 100+ degree summer days in Gilbert.  The indoor facility can be reserved by the hour.  When reserving the indoor complex you can play soccer, lacrosse, kickball, flag football or just host an event inside the complex.  Local Gilbert residents, keep in mind that if you show your local id with proof or residence inside Gilbert you will get discounted rates on any complex reservations.

The facility was initially built by investors, but has since be taken over by the city of Gilbert.  The fact that the city runs it makes this incredibly unique facility insanely affordable.  Local youth soccer teams can reserve the fields for several hours and it only cost $10 a player.  Check current rates for the best deal.  Keep in mind the facility also offers recreational sports and camps.  Want to learn a new sport but not ready for a club team environment?
