Gilbert Youth Soccer Association or often known as GYSA, is an incredible youth recreational soccer organization and facility. The soccer complex has over 20 fields. The fields range is size from smaller 4x4 fields for the younger kids that are just learning how to play all the way up to high school full sized 11x11 fields. The complex has plenty of parking and is located in Gilbert near the Greenfield WRF facility. Whether your son or daughter is 4 or 17 there is a team for them at GYSA. The organization prides itself as a fun, safe, and encouraging club where players of all ages and all abilities can learn, play, and enjoy the game of soccer.
The club has year round recreational soccer teams coached by volunteer parents. Don't let the volunteer part concern you. GYSA provides all of it coaches will training and event host soccer license clinics for those that want to continue learning more about the great game of soccer. The club was started in 1984 and has typically worn grey and blue colors for their uniforms. Over the years, GYSA has fielded several competitive soccer teams that have been able to compete against the top teams in the state of Arizona. What makes this so impressive is they did this with volunteer coaches and incredibly low fee's. This combination of affordable play and high competition, makes GYSA one of the best youth soccer options in the entire south east valley of phoenix.
For years GYSA would field highly competitive club soccer teams. They recently partnered with FC Arizona and now compete at the club level under that team name. GYSA was known for being an encouraging competitive but low cost club option. Often items families wanted to play club soccer, but many of the other local competitive clubs cost thousands of dollars a year just to be on the team. GYSA provided an affordable option where club soccer was similar in cost to most recreational teams.
