Hope Relentless
Marriage Counselor Near Cole Park in Tempe
Time together that's on the calendar and actually protected. Conversations where both of you are present, phones down. Disagreements you can lean into without bracing for the fallout. We coach the two of you together at our Chandler office, about five miles south of Cole Park, or online.
30 minutes, free, no obligation. Both of you on the call.
A neighborhood park tells you a lot about a marriage if you watch long enough. Some couples walk the loop side by side and talk the whole way. Some walk it single file, one of them on the phone. Same park, same path, completely different evening.
Nobody plans the second version. It happens when the week gets full and time together turns into whatever is left over. I've watched it happen in a lot of marriages, and I've felt the pull of it in ours. Nothing is wrong, exactly. Two people just stop choosing each other on purpose.
What turns it around usually isn't a big weekend away. It's three small, deliberate choices we teach couples as the Three C's.
The Three C's: Calendar, Connection, Conflict
Calendar
Protect time for the two of you, on purpose, before the week fills it. Not a grand date night every Friday. Something you can actually keep, like a walk after dinner twice a week or twenty minutes on the patio after the house goes quiet. If it isn't on the calendar, the calendar wins. Try asking: when in our week do we get each other at our best, not just at our most tired?
Connection
Be fully present in the time you protect. Phones away, eyes up, curious about each other again. Talk about more than who's picking up whom. Try asking: what's something on your mind this week that I haven't asked you about?
Conflict
Lean into the hard things with honesty and respect instead of stepping around them. Healthy couples still disagree. What changes is how they handle it, and how quickly they come back together. Try asking: is there something we keep stepping around that we'd both feel better for talking through?
The three work together. Calendar without Connection is two people in the same room scrolling. Connection without Conflict turns into peace that's really avoidance, and that quiet builds resentment over time. Start with one baby step on each, and don't grade yourselves too hard. It's a guide, not a law.
Getting Here From Cole Park
We're a Chandler office, and we'd rather tell you that plainly. Cole Park sits in the neighborhood east of McClintock Drive, just north of Baseline Road. From there, head south to Baseline, go east to the Loop 101 at Price Road, and take the 101 south to the Ray Road exit. Our building is right at that interchange. We also meet online when that fits your week better.

What This Looks Like With Us
You build the rhythm in session
We help the two of you set a Calendar you can keep, practice Connection in the room, and work through a real disagreement with us there. You leave with a plan for the week, not just a good conversation.
Both of you, every time
We don't offer individual sessions. The Three C's only work when both of you are choosing them, so both of you learn them together. Nobody is the project.
Coached by a couple who's been there
Sarah-Gayle holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific, and works here as a coach, not a clinician. I'm an ordained minister. We've been married more than twenty years and have coached thousands of couples.
Questions Couples Ask
How far is your office from Cole Park in Tempe?
About five miles. Our office is at 3075 W Ray Rd #200 in Chandler, at the Ray Road exit on the Loop 101. From Cole Park, take Baseline Road east to the 101, head south, and exit at Ray Road.
What are the Three C's?
Calendar, Connection, and Conflict. Calendar is protecting time together on purpose. Connection is being fully present in that time. Conflict is leaning into hard conversations with honesty and respect instead of avoiding them. Thriving couples keep all three going at once.
Can we practice the Three C's on our own between sessions?
Yes, and that's the point. We set the rhythm with you in session, then you practice it at home during the week, whether that's a walk around the neighborhood or a standing check-in on the patio. Next session, we look at what worked, what slipped, and adjust.
