In a marriage, that question gets personal fast. Forgiveness is one of the mindsets we teach, and we teach it as a response to being forgiven ourselves. It is also easy to misread. Forgiving does not erase what happened, and it does not mean trust comes back overnight. It means you stop holding the debt and start building something new.

Refuse to be easily offended
Give the benefit of the doubt on the small things. Save your energy for what actually matters.
Let God be the restorer
You release the debt. God does the repairing. Trust rebuilds over time, through changed behavior you can both see.
Baby steps count here. You are allowed to forgive in layers, and to ask for change at the same time.
Getting Here From Grace Community Church
We use Grace Community Church, at 1200 E Southern Ave, Tempe, AZ 85282, as the starting point. Take E Southern Ave to AZ-101 Loop S at S Price Rd, then follow the Loop into Chandler (about 6.8 miles). Maps puts the last stretch to our door at 489 feet. Our building sits at the southwest corner of Loop 101 and Ray Road. Google Maps' fastest route is about 14 minutes and 7.0 miles. A route along S McClintock Dr is about 6.9 miles, and a route along US-60 E is about 7.7 miles, each about 14 minutes. We also meet online.

About 14 minutes by car, 7.0 miles, based on Google Maps. The fastest route runs along AZ-101 Loop S. Our office is at 3075 W Ray Rd #200 in Chandler. We also meet online.
If I forgive, does that mean trust is back?
No. Forgiveness and trust are separate. Forgiveness is a decision you make. Trust comes back as changed behavior adds up over time. If safety is ever the issue, we will tell you and help you find the right support.
What if only one of us feels ready to forgive?
That is common, and it is a fine place to start. Each of you owns your own side, and we coach you together so neither of you is doing this alone. Nobody is the project.
