Hope Relentless
Marriage Counselor Near the Hall of Flame Museum in Phoenix
Small problems handled before they become big ones. A habit of raising things on purpose instead of letting them pile up. Quiet that comes from honesty, not avoidance. We coach you together at our Chandler office, about 20 minutes from the Hall of Flame Museum, or online.
30 minutes, free, no obligation. Both of you on the call.
The Hall of Flame Museum of Firefighting, at 6101 E Van Buren St in Phoenix, is dedicated to firefighting history. The simplest lesson in fire safety is also the oldest: it is easiest to deal with a fire when it is small.
Marriages work like that. A comment that stung, a topic you both keep skipping, a habit that wears on one of you. Left alone, small things grow. We teach a mindset to get ahead of them: be proactive, not reactive.
Put It Out While It's Small: Proactive, Not Reactive
Four steps for dealing with it early.
Download the one-page worksheet (PDF) and fill it in together.
Spot the smoke
Name the small thing you have been letting slide. A comment, a pattern or a subject you avoid.
Don't sweep it under the rug
Peace that is really avoidance builds resentment. A calm surface is not the same as a calm marriage.
Raise it on purpose
Choose a good time and a gentle start. Bringing it up early is an act of care, not an attack.
Come back to it
Agree on a time to check in. Small things stay small when you both keep an eye on them.
Both of you can grow in this. Neither of you has to carry every concern alone.

Questions Couples Ask
How far is your office from the Hall of Flame Museum?
About 20 minutes by car, 12.4 miles, based on Google Maps. The fastest route runs from AZ-202 Loop E onto AZ-101 Loop S. Our office is at 3075 W Ray Rd #200 in Chandler, not in Phoenix. We also meet online.
How do I bring up something small without starting a fight?
Pick a calm moment, keep it to one topic and open with how you feel or what you need. We coach a simple structure for this, and you practice it together in session.
Is it better to let some things go?
Some things are worth letting go. The test is whether you have actually let it go or just stopped saying it. If it keeps coming back to you, it is probably worth raising kindly.
