You can sit in the same pew every Sunday and still drive home feeling far apart. Nobody in the parking lot would guess it. You both show up, you both believe, and somewhere during the week the two of you went back to being polite.
Most couples try to fix that with tools first. A better way to talk, a date night, a book. Those help, and we teach plenty of tools. But a tool sitting on the wrong foundation turns into a technique for winning. Change that lasts starts underneath, with how each of you thinks about God, about your spouse, and about yourself.
We call those the Mindsets. When your mind changes about something, it becomes part of who you are, not just what you do. That's the difference between transformation and behavior modification.

God is my source
Your security, identity, and provision come from God, not from your spouse. That takes an impossible weight off the marriage. Your spouse gets to be your partner instead of your everything.
I prioritize my marriage
Marriage is a covenant. "The two will become one flesh" (Ephesians 5:31). Kids, work, and extended family all matter, and none of them gets to stand in the middle. A prioritized marriage is a nurtured one.
I take personal responsibility
Focus on what you can control, which is you. We teach it as the 3 A's: Attitude, the posture you bring; Application, actually doing the work; and Accountability, owning your part without excuses.
We are on the same team
Your spouse isn't the enemy or the problem. Get on the same side of the table. Your differences are strengths, and it's both/and, not either/or.
I choose to forgive
Forgive quickly, in response to how God has forgiven you, and refuse to be easily offended. Healthy couples still hurt each other. What changes is how fast they come back together.
One caution we give every couple: don't turn these into a scorecard for your spouse. "You're not taking personal responsibility" misses the point entirely. Each of you works on your own side, and when both of you do that independently, breakthrough comes. It's a guide, not a law.

From the church, take McClintock south to Guadalupe, head east to the Loop 101 at Price Road, then take the 101 south to the Ray Road exit. Our building is right at that interchange. About four and a half miles. Our office is at 3075 W Ray Rd #200 in Chandler, at the Ray Road exit on the Loop 101. From the church, take McClintock Drive south to Guadalupe Road, go east to the 101, head south, and exit at Ray Road.
Do you work with Catholic couples?
Yes. We're a Christian coaching practice, and Catholic couples are welcome. We aren't affiliated with any parish or with the Diocese of Phoenix, and coaching doesn't replace the sacraments or your parish's marriage preparation. It sits alongside the faith life you already have.

Because a tool without the right heart underneath it tends to get used as a weapon. When your mindset changes, the change becomes part of who you are, not just something you do when things are calm. We still teach practical tools. We build them on that foundation so they last.
