Hope Relentless
Marriage Counselor Near Lehi Sports Park in Mesa
The grit to keep going when the work stops feeling fun. A plan for the flat stretches every marriage has. Two people who decide again, together. We coach you together at our Chandler office, about 18 minutes from Lehi Sports Park, or online.
30 minutes, free, no obligation. Both of you on the call.
Lehi Sports Park, at 2228 N Center St in Mesa, is a 24-acre park of multiuse sports fields, open from sunrise to 10 PM. Anyone who has spent time at a field like that knows the pattern: the big moments get the attention, but the reps are what build a team.
Marriage works the same way. A thriving one takes grit, which is the willingness to keep showing up through the flat stretches. We make it a mindset on purpose, because feelings come and go and a decision lasts.
Grit: Four Reps for the Long Game
You don't need more intensity. You need a way to keep going.
Download the one-page worksheet (PDF) and fill it in together.
Expect the flat stretch
Every season of marriage has one. Knowing it is coming keeps it from feeling like a verdict.
Decide again
Recommit out loud, not because you feel like it but because you chose this. Say it to each other.
Remember your why
Write down why you chose this marriage and what you want it to look like. Keep it where you can read it.
Take the next small rep
Do one thing today, a ten-minute talk or one kind word. Small reps add up to strength.
Grit is not gritting your teeth alone. It is two people choosing the next small step together.

Questions Couples Ask
How far is your office from Lehi Sports Park?
About 18 minutes by car, 12.6 miles, based on Google Maps. The fastest route runs along AZ-101 Loop S. Our office is at 3075 W Ray Rd #200 in Chandler. We also meet online.
Is the flat stretch a warning sign?
Usually not. A flat season is common and does not by itself mean something is wrong. It is a signal to be intentional. We help couples tell the difference and decide what to do next, together.
What if one of us has more grit than the other?
That happens. We don't try to match your energy levels. Each of you owns your own side and takes the next small step you can. The momentum of one person choosing again is contagious.
