30 minutes, free, no obligation. Both of you on the call.

Short answer: our office is at 3075 W Ray Rd #200 in Chandler, at Loop 101 and Ray Road. From Mountain America Stadium in Tempe it's about 21 minutes. We coach couples together, and it starts with a free 30-minute consultation.

Mountain America Stadium, at 500 E Veterans Way in Tempe, is the home of Arizona State football and seats about 56,000. From the stands, everybody is a coach. The mistakes on the field are obvious from up there.

A marriage can slide into the same view. It gets easy to watch your spouse's plays and call what they should have done. Meanwhile your own side of the field goes unexamined. Our teaching on this starts with a story most parents know: two teenagers, one pointing at the other's messy room while standing in a room just as messy.

Whose Room Is Messy? Owning Your Own Side

You can only change one person, and you are standing in their shoes. Four steps.

Whose Room Is Messy? My room Their room Start here Can't control Clean one corner of your own room. Then stop auditing theirs.

1

Notice where your eyes go

When you are frustrated, where is your attention? On what your spouse is or isn't doing, or on what you can control?

2

Walk into your own room

Write down one thing you bring to the pattern. Just one, and keep it about you.

3

Clean one corner

Pick a small, specific change on your side. Do it without announcing it or waiting for anything in return.

4

Stop auditing their room

Resist checking whether they cleaned. When both of you work on your own, the whole house changes.

Nobody is the project. Both of you own your side, and both of you grow at once.

What This Looks Like With Us

A tool to use tonight

Each session ends with one practical step to take at home. You practice it between sessions, then we refine it together.

No sides, no scorekeeping

We don't take sides, and we don't offer individual work. Both of you show up, and both of you own your part.

Real coaches, real marriage

You'll be matched with Sarah-Gayle or me on your consultation. Sarah-Gayle holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific, and works here as a coach, not a clinician. I'm an ordained minister. We've been married more than twenty years and have coached thousands of couples.

Coaching, not therapy. We don't diagnose, we don't treat mental health conditions, and we don't bill insurance. Both partners come to every session, and we don't offer individual work. If what you need is licensed clinical care, we'll tell you and help you find it.

Questions Couples Ask

How far is your office from Mountain America Stadium?

About 21 minutes by car, 9.9 miles, based on Google Maps. The fastest route runs along AZ-101 Loop S. Event traffic can change that. Our office is at 3075 W Ray Rd #200 in Chandler. We also meet online.

What if I really am the one doing more?

That can be true, and it is worth saying out loud in a coaching session. Your part is still the only part you can change. We help you raise the imbalance in a way that opens a conversation, with both of you in the room.

Does owning my side mean I am taking the blame?

No. Ownership is not blame. It means you name what is yours so the conversation can move forward. Blame closes it down, and ownership tends to open it.
