Hope Relentless
Marriage Counselor Near Williams Field High School in Gilbert
Agreements you both chose, not ones one of you quietly gave in to. A way to disagree on the big decisions without making each other the enemy. We coach you together, online or at our Chandler office.
30 minutes, free, no obligation. Both of you on the call.
Raising teenagers means a steady stream of decisions that have no obvious right answer. Curfews, phones, cars, college, who gets to say yes. The two of you will see some of them differently.
That's normal, and it can be good for the family. The trouble starts when a disagreement becomes either/or, and one of you has to lose. We teach the other way, and it begins once both of you feel heard.
Solution-Based Agreement: From Frustration to Teamwork
Make a positive request
Say what you want, not what you don't. I'd love for us to agree on a phone plan for the weekdays.
Invite a collaborative response
Your spouse can accept, or counter in the positive. Staying solution-based is the whole skill. A counter is a gift, not an attack.
Confirm and commit
Land on something that serves both of you. Yes is yes, and no is no. Flexibility is strength, not surrender.
Know which kind of agreement you reached
Some talks end with just heard. Some end with next steps. Some are perpetual problems, where you shift from solving it to how you talk about it.
It's both/and, not either/or. Either/or makes opponents and both/and makes a team. It's a guide, not a law.

What This Looks Like With Us
Built around your real week
We coach couples online or at our Chandler office, and we help you set up habits that fit the schedule you actually have.
Both of you, every time
We don't offer individual sessions. Each of you owns your own side, and both of you grow at the same time. Nobody is the project.
Coached by someone who's been there
You'll work with Sarah-Gayle or me, matched on your consultation. Sarah-Gayle holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific, and works here as a coach, not a clinician. I'm an ordained minister. We've been married more than twenty years and have coached thousands of couples.
Questions Couples Ask
What if we disagree on how to parent a teenager?
Most couples do. Start by making sure each of you feels heard, then each make a positive request and look for something both/and. The goal is a united front you both chose, so your teen sees a team.
What's the difference between a request and a demand?
A request leaves room for a counter. A demand ends the conversation. If your spouse can't say yes, no or how about this instead, it was a demand. We practice the difference.
What if there's a problem we simply can't solve?
Some are perpetual, and that's normal in any marriage. When that happens, we shift the goal from solving the issue to how the two of you interact about it, so it stops damaging the marriage.
Choose Teamwork on the Hard Decisions
