Couples Counselor Near Arrowhead Meadows Park in Chandler
A marriage that keeps getting better instead of just holding steady. Tools you both reach for when things get tense. People around you who are for your marriage, not just your calendar. We coach the two of you together at our Chandler office, under three miles from Arrowhead Meadows, or online.
30 minutes, free, no obligation. Both of you on the call.
Some couples call us in the middle of a crisis. Plenty don't. They're the couples at the park on a Saturday, trading off between the pickleball courts and the playground, doing life pretty well together. Nothing is broken. They just want more than fine.
Here's what I've seen after coaching thousands of couples: fine doesn't stay fine on its own. A marriage nobody is investing in tends to wear down slowly, usually from nothing more dramatic than being busy.
The good news is that building on a solid marriage is a lot easier than rebuilding a broken one. You're starting with trust, goodwill, and a track record together. That's a real advantage, and it's worth using while you have it.
The Four Things That Help a Marriage Thrive
When we look at the marriages that keep growing year after year, four things tend to be in place. Most couples have one or two. The gaps are usually easy to spot once you know what to look for.
Mindset
How each of you shows up on the inside. We're on the same team. I take responsibility for my part. Communication is about connection. Tools only work when they're built on the right mindset, so this comes first.
Tools
Practical skills for the conversations that matter, like the Communication Loop we teach every couple. Good intentions get you started. Tools get you through the hard moments without making them worse.
Community
People around your marriage, not just around your family. Friends who are for both of you, couples a few years further down the road, people you'd actually call. Most couples have plenty of people nearby. Fewer have people in their corner as a couple.
Coach
Someone who can see what you can't from inside the marriage. Not because you're failing, but because every strong team has someone on the sideline helping them get better.
You don't need all four figured out before you start. Pick the one that's thinnest and take a baby step toward it this week.

What This Looks Like With Us
We build on what's working
Coaching isn't only for fixing what's broken. We start with what the two of you already do well and help you grow it on purpose.
Both of you, every time
We don't offer individual sessions. Each of you owns your own side, and both of you grow at the same time. Nobody is the project.
Coached by someone who's been there
You'll work with Sarah-Gayle or me, matched on your consultation. Sarah-Gayle holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific, and works here as a coach, not a clinician. I'm an ordained minister. We've been married more than twenty years and have coached thousands of couples.
Questions Couples Ask
We're not in crisis. Is coaching for couples like us?
Yes. Some of the couples we enjoy working with most are doing well and want to keep it that way. Coaching a strong marriage is usually faster and lighter than repairing a struggling one, because you're adding to a foundation instead of rebuilding it.
What does community around a marriage actually look like?
A few people who know you both, are for your marriage, and would notice if something seemed off. It might be a couple a few years ahead of you, a close friend for each of you, or a small group. It doesn't take a crowd. It takes a few people you'd actually call.
How is coaching different from reading a marriage book together?
A book gives you ideas. Coaching helps you use them on the real conversations in your real marriage, with someone watching for the patterns you can't see from inside. Most couples know more than they practice. Coaching closes that gap.
