Hope Relentless
Marriage Counselor Near Tempe Diablo Stadium in Tempe
Hard conversations that end in an agreement instead of an argument. A way to open a tough topic without it turning into a fight. Follow-through on what you decided. We coach you together at our Chandler office, about twenty-five minutes from Tempe Diablo Stadium, or online.
30 minutes, free, no obligation. Both of you on the call.
Tempe Diablo Stadium is the spring training home of the Los Angeles Angels, and every March it fills with families. Most couples in those seats are on the same team for nine innings. The hard part is staying on the same team when a tough topic comes up afterward.
I ran track at UCLA, so I think about how you score. In baseball, reaching first base is a good start. It is not a run. A conversation works the same way. Plenty of couples get one or two steps in, then wonder why nothing changed.
The Communication Loop: Touch All Four Bases
Four steps, in order. It works on nearly any topic, from chores to money to how you spend a Saturday.
First base: Proactive Start
Start with ownership, not blame. Finish three sentences. When ___ happens. I feel ___. Moving forward, I'd appreciate ___. That last one gives your spouse something to aim at.
Second base: Validating Response
The listener has one job: help you feel heard. Reflect it back. "What I hear you saying is ___. Is that right?" Validating is not agreeing. Agreeing comes later.
Third base: Solution-Based Agreement
Make a positive request. Your spouse accepts it or counters, still in the positive. Aim for both/and instead of either/or.
Home: Discuss the Details
Who, what, when, where. This is where most agreements die. Nobody changed their mind. Nobody said what Saturday actually meant.
It will feel clunky the first few times. That is normal. It's a guide, not a law, and it only works when each of you uses it for your own side, never as a way to win.

What This Looks Like With Us
Built around your real week
Sessions happen at our Chandler office or online. We practice the Loop on real topics from your own week, not made-up ones.
Both of you, every time
We don't offer individual sessions. Each of you owns your own side, and both of you grow at the same time. Nobody is the project.
Coached by someone who's been there
You'll work with Sarah-Gayle or me, matched on your consultation. Sarah-Gayle holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific, and works here as a coach, not a clinician. I'm an ordained minister. We've been married more than twenty years and have coached thousands of couples.

No. A small topic can stay small. For the conversations that matter, use all four. Most couples skip the last step, and that is where agreements fall apart.
